coggesnewland cogges plans

Local Plan: What do we want Cogges and Newland to be like in 2031?

Over the next few weeks the District Council is consulting on plans for the future of West Oxfordshire. On September 17th we will be holding a meeting for you to share your views. Of course our children will need homes to live in. In 30 years Cogges has changed out of all recognition, and Newland has expanded. What do we want to see in the next 30 years? Come to our meeting at 7.30pm on 17th September to have your say.

Come and have your say at the next Cogges & Newland Community meeting 17th September, 7.30pm, Cogges Church Centre. Our guest speaker will be James Mawle who is the major landowner at Shores Green.

Go Ride Buses: Improve our Services

Danny Douglas, MD of Go Ride community interest company, will also be our guest speaker this September.  Come and talk with him about how to make the bus service really good. GO RIDE CIC is a not for profit company dedicated to cut carbon emissions and increase social inclusion through the provision of public transport in Great Britain. They are an organisation interested in bringing new ways of operation into public transport to broaden the appeal of services across the social classes and therefore increase patronage to make services more sustainable.

Summer Meeting, 7pm, Wednesday 18 June, Cogges Church Centre

Please join us for a Summer Meeting! All welcome.

We will be joined by Pat Chirgwin of Witney Volunteer Link-Up who will be describing their neighbourliness project, and putting us in the picture about the information service locally. If you need advice, or know someone who does, then come along.

We will also be discussing the first year of Cogges & Newland Community, and deciding on priorities for the year to come. One idea is to set up a newsletter, so if you know of anyone who can help please get in touch.
